The Museum Broken Arrow will host their seasonal reading program made possible by Oklahoma Humanities with generous funding from the Inasmuch Foundation and the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, beginning July 11, 2019 at The Museum Broken Arrow, 400 S. Main St. in Broken Arrow. Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month, July-November. Each session is free, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and will showcase a different book.
The fall 2019 Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma series will be themed “Hope Amidst Hardship” and will explore how, even through tough times, there is hope. A scholar from the region will come to the Museum to lead the discussion of each novel. In addition, books will be provided at no cost, to all registered participants but must be returned each month.
“We are thrilled to be hosting our 7th free reading program at The Museum Broken Arrow,” said Julie Brown, executive director of The Museum Broken Arrow. “The theme, “Hope Amidst Hardship,” will offer participants an opportunity to analyze several of life’s biggest hardships and discover the hope found deep within us all.”
Selected books include “The Glass Castle,” by Jeannette Walls, “Wonder,” by R.J. Palacio, “Where The Heart Is,” by Billie Letts, “The Secret Life of Bees,” by Sue Monk Kidd and “Tuesday’s With Morrie,” by Mitch Albom.
Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma space is limited to the first 35 participants. Individuals interested in attending the series can pick-up their first literary selection at The Museum Broken Arrow.

The Museum Broken Arrow is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in historic downtown Broken Arrow.
